Pure nature - camping together with the heidschnucken
A quiet meadow on the outskirts of Wachendorf near Mechernich, at the foot of the northern Eifel. The view stretches across the pasture where white horned Heath sheep graze outdoors year-round. In the evening, a fire burns. Then it becomes quiet. The farm is a listed monument, a traditional square courtyard farm where a workshop manufactures hand-tuned wind chimes. The hosts built the sauna themselves from clay, heated with a wood-burning stove. 800 meters further stands the Bruder Klaus Field Chapel, already visible from the site.1
