Oldenburg Münsterland

A parking spot in Oldenburger Münsterland, just outside Friesoythe. Unspoiled nature all around, plus hiking trails that start right at the meadow. Bird songs from the undergrowth in the morning, otherwise peaceful. Bicycles, tandems and canoes can be rented on-site and taken along. Oldenburg is about 26 kilometers away, the North Sea is just under three-quarters of an hour away, and the Netherlands is half an hour away. The site keeps a low profile — but the green scenery is right in front of your camper.1

Sights in the area1

Oldenburg

The nearest larger town, about 26 km away. Old quarter with a palace and the Lambertikirche; the go-to stroll for a rainy day.

Pilsumer Leuchtturm

The yellow-and-red lighthouse behind the dyke, famous from the Otto film. Further west on the East Frisian coast, a day trip in itself.

Schloss Lütetsburg

A sprawling landscape park near the coast with moats and old trees. Worth it if the route heads toward the North Sea anyway.
