Crane View Galenbecker See at the Brohmer Mountains
A freely accessible meadow near Heinrichswalde, with views across the nature reserve at Galenbecker See. From the observation platform, the view extends across the Friedländer Große Wiese all the way to the Brohmer Berge. Thousands of cranes and wild geese pass over the nature reserve; if you're up early, you'll hear them calling before you see them. The site is simple, and booking is informal. You can cycle around the lake or up into the Brohmer Berge. Evenings: bird calls.1
