Campground in Sonneberg
The camping site in Sonneberg is situated in a natural setting in the Frankenwald, surrounded by open meadows and forest – ideal for trekking and wild camping stays away from the hustle and bustle. Nearby, the former Lichtenberg railway station and Festung Rosenberg are waiting to be explored, and the Nordeck castle ruins also invite you to discover them. There is deliberately no service here, but plenty of peace and pristine nature – please take your own rubbish with you. It's around 70 kilometres to Erfurt with its old town and Severikirche.1
