AlpacaCamping 1141
A farm near Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde where you don't stand by the fence, but right in the middle of the alpaca meadow. Sixteen stallions share the space, and the tree in the middle is left free. It belongs to the animals as a shady spot. If you stay calm, you'll get visitors. After a while, half the herd stands under the awning, curious, with that hairstyle. They don't like being touched on the head. The site takes autonomous motorhomes without dogs – alpacas see dogs as enemies. It's around ten kilometers to Hagen.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„Right in the thick of it, not just watching from the sidelines!
That was our host's comment when we drove onto the farm and asked where we could park our motorhome.“

Sights in the area1
Hagen
The nearest town, about ten kilometres away. The LWL open-air museum shows old craft workshops down in the Mäckingerbach valley — the rainy-day classic nearby.
Möhnesee
Large reservoir in the northern Sauerland with a shore path and sailing boats. A day out for the water when the meadow gets too warm.
Kahler Asten
At 841 metres one of the highest peaks in the Sauerland, up near Winterberg. Further off in the uplands, worth the drive on a clear day.
