Spend the night on the meadow at the llama farm
A llama farm in a secluded location in Frankenwald, at the foot of Döbraberg, not far from Naila. Llamas live on the meadows: Safran, Thymian, Cayenne and over a dozen more, all named after spices. Plus chickens, geese and dwarf goats. In the morning the geese chatter. Hiking and cycling start at the farm, after that it becomes quiet up here. For excursions there is the former Lichtenberg train station and Rosenberg Fortress high above Kronach.1

Döbraberg
The highest hill in the Frankenwald, just under 800 metres. A lookout tower on top opens a wide view across the wooded ridges on a clear day.
Rosenberg Fortress
Above Kronach sits one of Germany's largest preserved fortresses. Inside, the Fränkische Galerie shows old panel paintings — the classic rainy-day stop when fog hangs over the forest.
Höllental near Lichtenberg
Lichtenberg sits at the edge of the Höllental, the gorge the Selbitz river cut through the Frankenwald. The former station makes a good start for the walk through the ravine.
