Paradise right on the private lake (price for 12 people)

North of Mannheim lies a level meadow on a private lake, secluded and for exclusive use — no neighbours, just your own group. A small gate and stairs lead down to the water, where a private bathing pontoon awaits: swimming and paddling, mornings of tranquility over the lake. In the evening, the campfire burns. Wood is provided. The bathroom dates from 2022, electricity is available. The site is completely fenced, including down to the water, so it's dog-friendly. The access road is narrow and gravel. Supermarket and bakery are within walking distance.1

Sights in the area1

Mannheim

The grid-plan city on the Rhine, about four kilometres away: baroque palace and water tower sit close together, plus museums for a rainy day.

Heppenheim Old Town

A half-timbered town on the Bergstraße with a market square and the Starkenburg above the roofs; a stroll worth saving for a grey afternoon.

Auerbach Castle

A ruin with two climbable towers above the Bergstraße; from the top the view runs across the Rhine plain, an outing children enjoy too.

Felsberg in the Odenwald

A wooded summit with the Felsenmeer, a slope of boulders and Roman quarry work; a scrambling afternoon in any weather.
