My favorite place #1

A beautiful place on the edge of the forest with access to the wilderness, shady and sunny at the same time. With fireplace. We like to use this spot ourselves; it's secluded enough to have peace and quiet, but close enough that we can always be near nature, which is good for our souls! We may also camp in the woods above if you want to explore more outdoors or just need a peaceful and cozy place where there aren't many people - although that sounds contradictory, since most will come here seeking solitude anyway! I hope you will love it too :) For those who want to camp, climbing equipment such as ropes can be rented at the reception (for free), as well as firewood available on site or at1

We like to use the place ourselves.

It is a little off the beaten track and in isolation .... wonderful peace and pure nature.“

Sights in the area1

Ingolstadt

The old ducal town on the Danube, about 25 kilometres away. The Bavarian Army Museum sits in the New Castle, with knights' hall and armoury: the region's rainy-day standby.

Maria Hilf pilgrimage chapel

A small pilgrimage chapel in the Hallertau, one of the places people here walk to. Good for an afternoon when the weather invites a stroll.

Walkersbach – Kemathen trail

A surfaced path through the hop fields between Walkersbach and Kemathen. Flat and easy going, right for a bike loop after breakfast.
