The pitch is in a secluded location, at the end of a dirt road on the outskirts of Schönaich. From here, you have a fantastic view of the sunsets that sweep the view over the small village, or of the Steigerwald Center and Handthal - two villages that you can reach on foot and where there are many inns where you can stop for a bite to eat; there are also restaurants in Oberschwarzach (a little further away) and the Ebracher natural swimming pool is worth a visit! Located right between Würzburg and Bamberg, there really isn't much more than forest here, but if you feel like exploring, don't hesitate, because there are actually some pretty great things to discover in the woods: not just¹
