A small farm on the Mittellandkanal near Recke, surrounded by fields and other farms in the northern Tecklenburger Land. Walking trails begin right at the door. Those who wish can swim in the canal. Osnabrück
The city of peace lies about 28 kilometres away, with old town, cathedral and the Felix Nussbaum House. The town day for when the weather turns.

A cycling city with the Prinzipalmarkt and Aasee, plus the Werse cycle path and the old canal lock. A long day trip by bike.
