Caravan & Motorhome Pitches in Iserlohn

A parking spot near Iserlohn in the Sauerland, with sweeping views toward the Ruhr area. There isn't much infrastructure — everyone here admits that openly. But it's quiet. Two or three days is all this spot needs. There's a pub in the village where you can get a decent meal. And if your fridge breaks down, your neighbour will help you out with a bag of ice. It's around fifteen kilometres to Hagen.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„Beautifully situated campsite with wonderful views towards the eastern Ruhr area. A friendly neighbor helped us out with ice when our fridge's gas operation was disrupted.
That brings us to the site's downside: the infrastructure.“

Sights in the area1

Möhnesee

The large reservoir on the northern edge of the Sauerland, known for the dam breached in 1943; today boats sail here and a path circles the shore — the classic outing for fair weather.

Kahler Asten

At 841 metres one of the highest peaks in the Sauerland; from the Asten tower the view stretches far across the hills. Worth the drive on the first clear day.

Biggesee

The largest of the Sauerland reservoirs near Olpe, with excursion boats and swimming coves; the place for a long summer day by the water.
