The house has everything you need on a bike trip: a drying room where you can hang out after doing the dishes, not only to save energy but also to protect your clothes from stains caused by the natural humidity; tools to repair boots so you don't get stopped short of the finish line by damage (I offer free repairs); even delicious homemade jams that come from my wife's delicious fruit trees that grow right outside our door...¹
