Camping on the Meadow

A well-preserved fort on the Upper Germanic Limes, high on the Taunus ridge. The foundation walls are freely accessible, a quiet stop for a forest walk with some history.
Wintersteinturm
A lookout tower on the Winterstein in the main Taunus ridge. On a clear day the view reaches far across the Wetterau, a rewarding target for the day's hike.
Offenbach am Main
The nearest larger town, about twenty kilometres away, with its Leather Museum and the Main riverbank. The town day for when rain takes over the meadow.
