On the edge of the bird sanctuary on the vineyard

A large meadow at the vineyard in Leistadt, the district about three kilometers north of Bad Dürkheim. The site is located at the edge of the Haardtrand nature reserve; loud music is not permitted here so that the birds can have their peace. Two hundred meters beyond the vineyard rows, the Pfälzerwald forest begins. If you take the path marked with a green dot, you'll reach the Ungeheuersee after about an hour's walk. A chilled bottle is available at the vineyard, fresh rolls in the morning at Joujou in the village. Dogs are welcome, on a leash.1
