Hainfeld

Camping at the vineyard

Three pitches on the Modenbach in Hainfeld, surrounded by vineyards. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Palatinate Forest, three hundred metres to the village shop. In the morning you'll hear the stream and little else. Each pitch has electricity. Shower and toilet facilities are available. A small wine tasting can be arranged at any time, and there are two wine taverns in the village for refreshments. Karlsruhe is around 35 kilometres further on. If you inquire after 6 p.m. on the same day, you're too late.1

What roadsurfer spots writes

„Our 3 pitches are idyllically located on the Modenbach, surrounded by vineyards and just a few minutes' walk from the Pfälzer Wald. It's only 300 meters to the village shop (bread/rolls and groceries).“

Sights in the area1

Palatinate Forest

Germany's largest continuous woodland starts just behind the vineyard rows; trails climb to sandstone crags and forest huts, enough for half a day without a car.

Rietburg

Castle ruin above the Wine Route near Edenkoben, reached on foot or by chairlift. The Rhine plain spreads out below, on clear days as far as the Black Forest.

Karlsruhe

The fan-shaped city sits about 35 kilometres away; palace and ZKM combine into one afternoon — the rainy-day standby around here.
