Camping at the alpaca farm #1

Come and spend the night at our farm campsite! Sleep in a cozy tent, take morning walks with the alpacas and enjoy an outdoor fire. In the summer, you can pick blueberries just steps from your campsite, while in the fall you can help pick apples and other fruits to make cider or juice - depending on what time of year you visit! If hiking through the meadows (or playing fetch) isn't enough for someone who needs their urban fix, we're also just 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia by car1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„The pitch is located directly on our alpaca farm, under 2 walnut trees, on a meadow orchard ( apple, cherry, plum and pear trees). Currently there are 4 alpacas on the farm, early risers are welcome to help feed them. There is a fire bowl for a campfire.“

Sights in the area1

Dahlener Heide

A large forest northwest of Schildau, laced with forestry tracks and cycle paths; the obvious loop for an open day.

Torgau

Town on the Elbe with Hartenfels Castle and its Renaissance spiral staircase; in 1945 American and Soviet troops met here.

Elbe Cycle Route

The trail follows the Elbe through meadows and dyke villages of the Elbland; flat enough to ride a full stage with children.

Leipzig

49 kilometres away, with riverside forest, lakes and old town doable in a day; the fallback when it rains in the countryside.
