Camping on the hiking trail "Kirchspiels Tälertour"

A private meadow on the edge of Kleinich, in the heart of the Hunsrück, right next to a hiking trail. The site is part of an old farmstead that Kerstin and André are currently renovating; access is via an unmade road. There are currently no electricity, water or sanitary facilities – your vehicle needs to be self-sufficient. In the morning, five free-range hens cluck around in the grass and lay a few eggs for breakfast. Grilling and campfires are permitted. It's a good ten kilometres to Bernkastel-Kues on the Moselle – quite a hike on foot.1

What roadsurfer spots writes

„Private meadow, situated directly on a beautiful hiking trail, in the midst of magnificent Hunsrück landscape at the edge of the village. The popular Moselle towns of Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trarbach are only 10 km away.“

Sights in the area1

Bernkastel-Kues

Wine town on the Moselle, a good ten kilometres away: a tight half-timbered market square, with the Landshut castle ruin above the steep vineyards. An afternoon by the river.

Traben-Trarbach

A second Moselle town within reach, known for its Art Nouveau villas and the old wine cellars beneath the streets. A stroll for when the weather at the site turns.

Trier

Germany's oldest city, around 40 kilometres off, with the Porta Nigra and the Roman trail. The big history day for when the site itself runs thin on plans.
