A pitch for a tent, motorhome or caravan in Eisenheim, on the edge of Franconia's wine country. Those who stay here are often alone: a shower, a couple of toilets, that's all you need. In the evening you sit with the vintner and taste your way through the glasses, afterwards a box of Franconian red wine heads back to your pitch. To Würzburg with its Residenz it's about 20 kilometres, with vineyards overlooking the Main in between. Otherwise: little going on, plenty of peace and quiet.1

Würzburg
The old bishops' town on the Main, about 20 kilometres away. The Residenz is a Unesco World Heritage site, and on the Alte Mainbrücke people drink their wine standing up.
Volkach Main Loop
The wide river bend near Volkach, with vineyards above the water. The riverside path stays flat, good for a day of cycling without climbs.
Main Cycle Route
The long-distance path follows the river through Franconia's wine villages. From the site you can put together a half-day tour in either direction.
