AlpacaCamping 556
A meadow near Bischofsgrün in the Fichtelgebirge, surrounded by trees and therefore hardly visible from the outside. The ground is soft, without levelling blocks the camper tilts. It's quiet here. In the morning the air smells of spruce needles, and apart from the wind you hear little. The hosts are friendly, there's no additional programme. If you like, you can start cycling and hiking tours directly from the meadow, heading up towards Ochsenkopf. It's not far to the Weißmainfelsen, where the Weiße Main originates.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„The ground surface of the pitch is grass - chocks are required. You are surrounded by trees and thus sheltered from view. Furthermore, the pitch is very quiet and secluded. I met friendly hosts.“

Sights in the area1
Ochsenkopf
At 1024 metres the second-highest mountain in the Fichtelgebirge. In summer a climb straight from Bischofsgrün, in winter a ski slope.
Weißmainfelsen
A granite crag on the Ochsenkopf where the Weißer Main rises. From the top the forested hills of the Fichtelgebirge spread out — a short goal for a half-day hike.
Luisenburg Rock Labyrinth
A tangle of granite blocks near Wunsiedel with a marked path threading through it. The trip for kids who have had enough of sitting still.
Weißer Main Nature Trail
Follows the young river through the valley, with stations along the way. The walk for an afternoon without much climbing.
