AlpacaCamping 2538

A site in Görwihl, up in the Hotzenwald at the southern edge of the Black Forest. At Kurt's you simply park: on the asphalt or a bit further out in the meadow. The view reaches to the mountains, houses tuck themselves in between, but you can't escape them entirely. Dogs are welcome. There were two most recently. To Freiburg with the Schauinsland it's around 40 kilometers. Most people head to the Feldberg, the highest point of the Black Forest, at some point anyway.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„Beautiful spot with amazing views! We felt very comfortable with Kurt. You can park completely level on asphalt or a bit further in the meadow. Our two dogs were welcome and we really enjoyed it. Clear recommendation!“

Sights in the area1

Feldberg

At 1,493 metres the highest peak in the Black Forest; snow lingers longest up top, and in summer trails loop over the summit. On a clear day the view reaches the Alps.

Schauinsland

Freiburg's local mountain, about 40 kilometres away; a historic railway climbs up to a lookout tower with views across the entire southern Black Forest.

Triberg Waterfalls

The Gutach drops some 160 metres over several tiers, one of Germany's tallest falls; the rainy-day classic of the area.
