Access is via asphalted farm roads; with a trailer attached to your motorhome it becomes tricky, but with normal vehicles up to eight meters it remains manageable. At night, only a distant hum of the motorway drifts across the fields. Otherwise, peace and quiet. Host Heike knows the area and gives tips for dining. Heidelberg is around ten kilometers away, and the baroque Schloss Schwetzingen is right next door.1

Near Ketsch the Rhine runs through wide floodplain forests; flat country for long bike rides without a single climb.
