AlpacaCamping 2506

A quiet spot near Ketsch, no sanitary facilities, but electricity at the pitch. Access is via asphalted farm roads; with a trailer attached to your motorhome it becomes tricky, but with normal vehicles up to eight meters it remains manageable. At night, only a distant hum of the motorway drifts across the fields. Otherwise, peace and quiet. Host Heike knows the area and gives tips for dining. Heidelberg is around ten kilometers away, and the baroque Schloss Schwetzingen is right next door.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„We were welcomed directly by the host upon arrival and guided to our pitch. She was very friendly and explained the surroundings and possible activities to us. The pitch itself is located at the edge of the property with an open view over the fields.“

Sights in the area1

Heidelberg

The old town with its castle and the Old Bridge over the Neckar sits about ten kilometres away; the classic day out when the pitch turns too quiet.

Schwetzingen Palace

The baroque summer residence of the Palatine electors, with a sprawling palace garden; in spring the whole area revolves around Schwetzingen asparagus.

The Rhine

Near Ketsch the Rhine runs through wide floodplain forests; flat country for long bike rides without a single climb.
