AlpacaCamping 223

A quiet pitch on the edge of Bocholt in the western Münsterland region, close to the Dutch border. In the morning, goats bleat behind the fence, during the day cows graze next door. For children, that's half the appeal. There's not much entertainment here, but plenty of peace and quiet, and prices to match the simple facilities. If you want to explore further, you can head into Münsterland, for example to Telgte or along the Werse cycle route. Bottrop with its Tetraeder is about 38 kilometers away.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„We have now visited this beautiful campsite for the 3rd time and felt very comfortable as always. Friends of ours were there for the first time because they had just bought a motorhome and were equally enthusiastic!“

Sights in the area1

Old town of Telgte

An old pilgrimage town in the Münsterland with cobbled lanes and a historic market square; an afternoon is enough for a quiet stroll.

Werse cycle path

A flat cycle route along the Werse through the Münsterland, plenty of shade and little climbing. Good for an easy day trip with kids.

Tetraeder

A walk-in steel pyramid atop a slag heap near Bottrop, a good 38 km away; from its platforms the view stretches far across the Ruhr area.

Halde Haniel

A raised slag heap with a way of the cross and open-air stage near Bottrop; the climb pays off with a wide view, best at sunset.
