AlpacaCamping 2058

The parking area is located on a hilltop above Mühlenbach in the Kinzigtal, with views into the valley. Here comes the catch. The road runs directly alongside it, and at six in the morning the commuter traffic starts, then peace and quiet are gone. If you can live with that, you're well-positioned here for trips into the Schwarzwald. The Triberg Waterfalls are a day trip away, and Freiburg is around 34 kilometers away. Cars during the day, otherwise wide open sky above the valley.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„The pitch is beautifully situated. However, being on a hilltop directly adjacent to the road makes it very loud. Rush hour traffic starts as early as six in the morning.“

Sights in the area1

Triberg Waterfalls

The Gutach drops around 160 metres over several cascades, one of the best-known waterfalls in the Black Forest. The climb up works even in rain.

Feldberg

At 1493 metres the highest mountain in the Black Forest. Views to the Alps on clear days, the region's ski area in winter.

Freiburg im Breisgau

The big town in the Breisgau, about 34 kilometres away. Minster, water channels in the lanes and the fallback for a rainy day in the valley.

Schauinsland

Freiburg's local mountain with a cable car and a view over the Rhine plain. Half a day is enough for the ascent and the panorama.
