The yellow-and-red lighthouse behind the dike, famous from the Otto film. The short walk out is worth it in any weather; a view from the dike crest already makes the photo.

Old fishing village with its twin windmills and shrimp cutters in the tidal harbour; easy to link with Pilsum Lighthouse into a day trip along the coastal cycle path.
Lütetsburg Castle
Sprawling landscape park around the moated castle, with old trees, ponds and a maze. A good place to see out a rainy day under the canopy.
