Aspach

AlpacaCamping 1605

A meadow under trees at the edge of Aspach, in the Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald. Daytime shade beneath the canopies, evenings remain peaceful. The people are nice, there's not much programming. The swimming pond is almost dry and silted up, not suitable for bathing. Sanitary facilities are minimal, so you should plan accordingly. If you can live with that, you'll be sleeping softly on grass. It's about 24 kilometers to Heilbronn, with the Neckar and vineyards in between.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„Pitch on the meadow under trees, great and peaceful.
Nice people. Swimming pond, however, almost no water and dirty.
Sanitary facilities very poor or non-existent.“

The nearest larger town on the Neckar, about 24 km away. A wine town with a harbour and market, the go-to for shopping and a stroll along the river.

Lauffen am Neckar

An old wine village in a tight Neckar bend, birthplace of the poet Hölderlin. A quiet afternoon between river and vines, good for a short trip out of the city.

Heuchelberger Warte

A lookout tower above the vineyards near Heilbronn. On a clear day the view stretches far over the Kraichgau, the classic for an evening walk.
