AlpacaCamping 964

A pitch near Hornberg in the Black Forest, quiet enough that in the evening you only hear the crackling of the fire. The host takes a relaxed approach; there was no farm shop on the last visit, but one is planned. From the pitch you can take a walk into the forest – with small children that's enough for a day's activity. If you want to explore further, you can drive to the Triberg Waterfalls. Freiburg im Breisgau is around 45 kilometres away. Tents, motorhomes and caravans are welcome. In the evening: campfire.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„For a short trip to the Schwarzwald with our 2-year-old child, this was the ideal spot for us. Great, peaceful location and a good starting point for day trips or simply for walks in the forest, campfires and relaxing.“

Sights in the area1

Triberg Waterfalls

The Gutach drops through the spruce forest in several stages, with a paved path running alongside it. The outing for a rainy afternoon.

Feldberg

The highest mountain in the Black Forest, open ridges instead of trees at the top. Snow lies here long after it has gone from the valleys.

Schauinsland

The local mountain of Freiburg im Breisgau, about 45 kilometres away. A cable car saves the climb, and the view stretches far across the Rhine.
