AlpacaCamping 1316
The only feedback about the site is brief: it was lovely, the hosts were nice, they'll come back. Nobody reveals anything more. Meißenheim is located in the Ortenau, in the flat Rhine plain between Lahr and the Rhine. Both tents and motorhomes are equally welcome here. In the evening, haze hangs over the fields, and the dark ridge of the Black Forest rises in the east. It's about 47 kilometers to Freiburg im Breisgau. Anyone coming here should be prepared for little in the way of entertainment.1

Sights in the area1
Freiburg im Breisgau
University town at the foot of the Black Forest, about 47 kilometres away. Minster tower, the Bächle running through the lanes, an old town you can walk in an afternoon.
Schauinsland
Freiburg's local mountain, reached by cable car or up the hairpins. From the top the view runs across the Rhine plain to the Vosges when the air is clear.
Triberger Wasserfälle
The Gutach drops through mountain forest in several steps. The path is surfaced and still works on days when rain has ruined everything down in the plain.
