Berchtesgaden Alps - Highlights
The Berchtesgaden Alps are a mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps in the far southeast of Bavaria, surrounding the Berchtesgaden Valley basin and bordering the Salzburg region in Austria. The area is characterized by the Watzmann, Germany's second-highest mountain, the surrounding Steinerne Meer, and the deeply cut Königssee, framed by imposing rock walls. A large part of the region lies within Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany's only Alpine national park. For outdoor enthusiasts, it is a prime hiking and mountaineering destination with crystal-clear lakes, Alpine meadows, and long ridge walks.

Schneibstein
The Schneibstein is a mountain in the Bavarian Alps, near Jenner and Berchtesgaden. It can be reached from Jenner in 2.5 hours, which makes it an ideal day trip for those who want to explore this beautiful area of Germany. The summit offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, as well as Austria on clear days.
Carl von Stahl House
Carl von Stahl Haus is located at 1733m above sea level. It is an ideal place for those who want to experience the best of Bavaria and Austria. From here you can explore everything this region has to offer - from skiing in winter to hiking in summer. And it's just a short drive from Salzburg or Munich!
Golling waterfall
The Gollinger Waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls in the Berchtesgaden Alps. It is beautiful and not too difficult to reach. But be warned - it can get very crowded on weekends! So if you are looking for some peace and quiet, you should visit it during the week.
Kührointütte
The Kührointhütte is the perfect place to enjoy delicious food and a breathtaking view of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The restaurant offers traditional Bavarian dishes, but also vegetarian options. You can also stop here for breakfast or lunch before heading out on your hike in the mountains.
