The surroundings invite you to go on excursions: the Pilsumer Leuchtturm and the cycle path between Greetsiel and the lighthouse are just as easy to reach as Schloss Lütetsburg. It's around 23 kilometres to Oldenburg, making it a good starting point for exploring the East Frisian landscape.¹
