A 23-hectare campsite near Hipstedt, right next to the Geest spring, in the heart of the Elbe-Weser triangle. Between the permanent campers, two meadows by the bathing lake remain free for tents, caravans and motorhomes. At the jetty: rowing boats and surfboards. Behind it the forest with its hiking trails and a quiet lake for fishing. Children slide down the giant slide, in the morning you mainly hear the birds over the water. It's a good forty kilometres to Bremen with its town hall and Roland.1

Bremen Town Hall and Roland
The Gothic town hall with the stone Roland statue in front is a Unesco World Heritage site. A good forty kilometres away, worth the trip in rain or shine.
Schnoor Quarter
Bremen's oldest quarter, a tangle of narrow lanes lined with tiny, crooked craftsmen's houses. If you're in town, you drift through almost by yourself.
Bremen Town Musicians
The bronze figures of donkey, dog, cat and rooster stand on the west side of the town hall. The obligatory photo stop when you're wandering the old town anyway.
