AlpacaCamping 644
A meadow in Oster-Ohrstedt, on a narrow side street, right next to a horse paddock. It's so quiet here that the day is dominated by the wind sweeping across the flat landscape and the horses next door. The host gives tips for the way to Husum, Theodor Storm's grey city by the sea. Kiel is a good sixty kilometers to the east. North Frisia, wide open and little to do. In the evening, it gets quiet early.1
What AlpacaCamping writes
„On this meadow you'll enjoy a wonderfully peaceful spot by a quiet side road next to a horse paddock. We spent two very restful nights at this location near Husum.
Communication with our host was excellent, and they even gave us tips for visiting the town.“

Sights in the area1
Husum
Theodor Storm's "grey town by the sea", with an inner harbour and market square. In spring the castle park fills with crocuses; an afternoon is enough for a first impression.
Wadden Sea National Park
The Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage site. At low tide the seabed can be explored on foot, with guided mudflat hikes starting from the coast. The must-do on the North Sea.
Kiel
The regional capital on the fjord, a good 61 km away. In summer Kiel Week fills the harbour with sailing ships; otherwise the fjord offers a view of the ferries coming and going.
