A small campsite on Fehmarn, designed for families with children. It's not large. But the little ones will find plenty to keep them entertained here, whether it's sunny or rainy. Those looking for lots of organized activities would be better off elsewhere. The wind blows across the island from the Baltic Sea, and in the mornings the seagulls circle above the fields. It's around 64 kilometers to Lübeck, and considerably less to the island's flat beaches. To the south, the Fehmarnsund Bridge spans the water.1

Fehmarnsund Bridge
The steel arch bridge has linked the island to the mainland since 1963. From the dyke a good view when surfers cross the sound below.
Wallnau Wetland Bird Reserve
A bird sanctuary on the west coast with short, easy paths. Watching from the hides is a calm option on windy days.
Fehmarn's Südstrand
At Burgtiefe the beach slopes gently into the water, ideal for wading. The go-to spot for hot afternoons with kids.
Lübeck and Travemünde
The old town with the Holstentor lies about 64 kilometres away. In Travemünde the Passat, the old sail training ship, sits at the Priwall — a trip for a long day.
