Wardow Old Smithy

A level, fenced meadow on the Lindenallee near Wardow, with an open view over fields and forest. Dogs are welcome, and the fence is suitable for horses. There's not much in the way of facilities: you simply set up in the open, the wind brushes through the grass in the morning, otherwise it stays quiet. If you want to cycle or hike, the open countryside is right on your doorstep. In Laage, a good five kilometres away, you can stock up on supplies. It's about twenty-five kilometres to Rostock, from where ferries depart to Sweden and Denmark.1

Sights in the area1

Rostock

The Hanseatic city on the Warnow, about 30 kilometres away: brick Gothic on the Neuer Markt, a working harbour, and ferries to Scandinavia. The trip for a rainy day.

Warnemünde

The seaside resort belongs to Rostock: a wide sandy beach, the old lighthouse and the pier where the big ships dock. The beach day, when the weather plays along.
