AlpacaCamping 365

A site near Buchenbach in the Black Forest, a good twenty kilometers from Freiburg. The views are the reason to come here – looking out over the slopes, morning mist in the valleys. Quiet is only conditional here. On full days, campers are packed tightly, tent next to motorhome. Those willing to accept this have the Feldberg and Schauinsland within reach. It's a good half hour's drive down to Freiburg.1

What AlpacaCamping writes

„"Nice view - unfortunately there were a lot of campers there"“

Sights in the area1

Feldberg

At 1493 metres the highest peak in the Black Forest. A loop trail runs across the summit, and on clear days the view reaches the Alps.

Schauinsland

Freiburg's local mountain with a cable car and lookout tower. From the top the view stretches across the Breisgau to the Kaiserstuhl, a short trip uphill.

Triberg Waterfalls

The Gutach drops over several steps, one of the best-known waterfalls in the Black Forest. The rainy-day fallback around here.

Freiburg im Breisgau

The old town with its minster and the Bächle water channels in the lanes, a good twenty kilometres away. The town day when the site gets too crowded.
