Van parking spot: Peaceful forest spot by the campfire

A forest property on a slope above a small village near Landolfshausen. The pitches are scattered between beech and birch trees or lie open on the meadow, and you usually pick your own spot. Each comes with a fireplace, firewood, an axe and a wheelbarrow. In the morning, leaves crackle when someone goes to fetch wood. It's eleven kilometers to Göttingen, where half the city sits by the Kiessee in summer. In the evening: smoke drifting between the tree trunks.1
