Longuich

Under the trees in the Moselle village

A pitch in the Mosel village of Longuich, a few kilometers downstream from Trier. The site is among the older ones on the German Mosel, with campers staying here since 1996. A restaurant has been operating since 2002, along with a wine shop. Wine enthusiasts are welcome. Mist often hangs over the vineyards in the morning until the sun climbs higher. A bakery and supermarket are located in the village, and it's about nine kilometers to Trier, home to the Porta Nigra and Roman amphitheater.1

What VanSite writes

Roman Trail

A walking route along Roman traces around Trier. Half a day on foot, good for anyone who prefers to walk history than read it.

Moselle

The river runs right past the village, the Moselle cycle path stays flat. A stretch towards Trier works even with kids.
