Time out on the mountain

Two pitches at one thousand meters above Sulzberg, on the edge of the forest on a reinforced meadow. The view extends across the Rhine Valley to Pfänderstock and on to the Swiss mountains. Next door is a moorland spa; in summer you go swimming, otherwise you sit at the barbecue spot. Ice cream and a breakfast basket come from the nearby Heumilchhof, on Sundays with freshly baked zopf. Mornings: the dairy cows in the barn. In winter the cross-country ski trail runs past the farm. The access road is steep; in snow you need chains.1
