Kahler Asten
At 841 metres one of the highest peaks in North Rhine-Westphalia, in the Hochsauerland. From the Astenturm the view runs far across the hills. It usually stays a few degrees cooler up there.
Siegen
The nearest larger town, some 20 kilometres away. Upper Castle with its Rubens collection, plus a university quarter above the river Sieg. The fallback for rainy days.
