Safari vacation at the Siebengebirge

A farmstead on the edge of Hennef village, where the Siebengebirge begins. Two pitches, nothing more. You sleep beneath fruit trees or between life-size sculptures: an elephant, giraffe and rhinoceros stand among the vehicles. In the evening the fire bowl burns, in the morning sunrise comes across the field. From here you can cycle directly into forest and meadows. Shopping and pharmacy are three kilometres further on, Bonn with the Sieg floodplains a good fifteen kilometres away.1

Sights in the area1

Siebengebirge

The wooded hills start right behind the farm; marked trails lead up the Drachenfels, and on a clear day you look out over the Rhine valley. The go-to for a hiking day.

Sieg meadows

The floodplain along the Sieg river runs toward Bonn, flat and damp, good for birds and long bike rides. After heavy rain the meadows flood.

Bonn

The former capital sits about 15 kilometres away; the Rhine promenade is an easy way to spend an afternoon when the weather at the site turns.
