Relaxation in the Hochwald with views of the National Park
Two newly developed pitches in Geisfeld in the Hochwald, paved ground, motorhomes up to nine metres. From the site, you have views across the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. In the morning, mist hangs between the hilltops, otherwise it's peaceful here. Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park
The protected area faces the site: old beech stands and boggy stream valleys. The trails stay walkable even in drizzle.
Erbeskopf
The highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate, in the middle of the national park. Marked loops lead back down into the valley; on clear days the view runs far across the Hunsrück.
Trier
Roman city on the Moselle, 23 kilometres away. Porta Nigra and the imperial baths sit within walking distance of each other; the plan for a rainy day.
Römerpfad
A hiking trail along Roman traces around Trier. Remains of aqueducts and quarries lie right beside the path, good for half a day without the car.
