Butjadingen

Pond property near the North Sea

A parking space on the edge of a pond property in Butjadingen, for self-sufficient vans and motorhomes. The site is not suitable for tents, and there's no toilet yet. However, the pond with a small private beach is included, and in the evening there's a fire pit. The dike is about 300 meters away, and the harbor at Fedderwardersiel is a fifteen-minute walk. In summer you can paddle through the sluice gate behind it with your SUP. In the morning it smells like the North Sea. You can do laundry in the laundry house when the machines are free.1

What VanSite writes

„We've decided to remove some shrubs and bushes along the edge of our pond property at our North Sea holiday paradise to create some space for self-sufficient camper vans and motorhomes.“

Sights in the area1

Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park

The coast off Butjadingen falls dry at low tide; guided mudflat walks set off from the dike. The classic thing to do in the hours when the water is gone.

Oldenburg

The nearest larger town, about 51 kilometres inland, with a strollable centre, a palace and museums. The place to head when the coastal wind gets too strong.

Bremen

Hanseatic city with its town hall, the Roland statue and the Town Musicians; the Schnoor quarter with its narrow lanes fills a day trip further east.
