Kranzberg

Pitch in the nature

Two pitches in nature near Kranzberg, each sixty square meters of meadow, plus a lounge meadow with expansive views across the countryside. On clear days, the Alps stand on the horizon. A place for self-sufficient campers: water comes in a canister, electricity only on request. Firewood is ready to use. In the evening, the campfire crackles, otherwise it stays quiet. On the village pastures, bison graze on some days. It's four kilometers to Kranzberger See, eight to Freising.1

Sights in the area1

Freising

The cathedral town sits eight kilometres away, its Mariendom crowning the Domberg above the old town. A solid half-day between the site and Munich.

Munich

Munich is a good twenty-five kilometres off. The Isartrail follows the river across half the city, and the Olympiapark, with its tower and halls, earns a rainy day.

Kranzberger See

A small lake four kilometres from the site, meadows all around. The short bike ride out is the plan for hot afternoons.

Hallertau

The surrounding Hallertau counts as the world's largest contiguous hop-growing region. The paved cycle path from Walkersbach to Kemathen runs through the hop gardens.
