Neratovice-Lobkovice

Peaceful spot next to the Chateau and river Elbe

A parking spot directly on the Elbe in Neratovice-Lobkovice, near the castle. Swimming right from the shore. On weekends in summer, someone rents out paddleboards; next door there's a private sauna with a bathing dock. No sanitary facilities: only motorhomes with their own toilets are allowed. Water and electricity are available on the grounds, by arrangement and for a fee. A supermarket and a pub are within walking distance. In the evening, the river flows past towards Mělník, where the Elbe and Vltava meet.1

Sights in the area1

Mělník

Downstream lies Mělník, where the Elbe takes in the Vltava. A Renaissance chateau with vineyards sits above the confluence — Bohemia's oldest wine country, good for an afternoon.

Prague

The Czech capital sits upstream on the Vltava. Charles Bridge and Prague Castle fill a day with ease, the city classic of the area.

Labe Cycle Route

The Elbe Cycle Route follows the river across the Bohemian plain, flat and well signed; from the pitch you can ride in either direction.
