Ostrich farm Gottesau

An ostrich farm in the Kraichgau rolling hills, a few minutes from the B35 near Bruchsal. The animals have names and are allowed to grow old; during a tour, you'll learn how to open and prepare an ostrich egg. You'll stay on the secured, fenced farm yard with fresh water and electricity available. There are no sanitary facilities – you need to be self-sufficient. Five cycling routes cross in front of the fence; you can reach Bruchsal Palace and the medieval town of Bretten by bike. The city tram runs opposite the farm and you'll hear it too.1

What roadsurfer spots writes

„FOR SELF-SUFFICIENT VEHICLES WITH TOILETS ONLY:
Straußenhof Gottesau is the only ostrich farm we know of that produces exclusively table eggs. All our animals have names, are hand-tame and are allowed to grow really old.“
