Nature camping on the Rhine dike
A paved courtyard at the foot of the Rhine dike near Rees, considered the oldest town on the lower Rhine. The farm road in front sees little traffic, and at night only the wind whistles over the dike crest. Above, the cycle path leads towards Bislicher Seenplatte, heading north about 30 minutes by bike to the Netherlands. Water, electricity and greywater disposal are free of charge. A toilet is available on request for a small contribution. Swimming is possible at the lakes all around. Dogs are welcome.1
