Pure nature: Secluded location on the forest edge next to the stream

A meadow behind the hosts' house in Neukirchen, a good hundred and fifty metres along a dead-end lane, surrounded by trees. A stream runs alongside, cold, with a couple of spots to dive into on hot days. Otherwise there's little on offer: space for a motorhome, caravan or tent, firewood available for an extra charge. All around is the Bavarian Forest with the Rißlochwasserfall and the Geißkopf. In the morning there's just the sound of rushing water. In the evening it stays that way.1

What VanSite writes

„The meadow is located 150m behind our house (dead-end road) and is surrounded by trees, lying next to an idyllic, cold stream where you can swim at certain spots!
A load of firewood can be added for €8 if needed.“

Sights in the area1

Rißlochwasserfall

A brook tumbles over several rock steps through a narrow gorge in the Bavarian Forest. The path up is short and shady, the go-to spot for a hot summer day.

Geißkopf

The local mountain above Bischofsmais, a well-known mountain-bike area with flow trails in summer and a modest ski hill in winter. From the top the view runs over the wooded ridges.

Kötztinger Hütte

A staffed mountain hut on the Kaitersberg, the long rocky ridge above Bad Kötzting. Hikers walking the crest stop here; the terrace looks far across the land.
