Lütte Lohe
A dairy farm in Wilstedt near Tangstedt, in family hands for over a hundred years. During the day the cows graze in the pastures, while tractors chug across the farmyard. A few steps away, it becomes quiet: then come the Alster meadows, where many birds breed. Fields all around. It's just under three-quarters of an hour's drive to Hamburg city centre, and hardly any longer to the Baltic Sea. If you're an early riser, you'll hear the birds first, then the first tractor.1
What roadsurfer spots writes
„The Meier farm has existed in Wilstedt/Tangstedt since 1910. It is managed in the fourth generation and is located on the outskirts of Hamburg, in the Alster lowlands just before the nature reserve.
We are a pure dairy farm and our animals enjoy grazing.“

Außenalster
The sailing water in the middle of Hamburg, a good 20 km away; a path circles the shore for runners and cyclists, and on warm days the lake is full of boats.
Elbphilharmonie & HafenCity
The concert hall on the old Kaispeicher in the HafenCity; its viewing plaza over harbour and Elbe is the thing to do on grey days.
Altes Land
Northern Germany's largest fruit-growing region south of the Elbe; at blossom time in spring you follow the dikes past thatched and half-timbered farms.
