Art Project "Rowell" Leopold Rubahn

A farm in Neukirchen/Erzgebirge that kept dairy cattle until the drought summer of 2018. Today, the farmers raise horses and allow hikers and pilgrims to spend the night on a large meadow. You choose your spot and roll out your bed. The sleeping cells are built from barrels, an old trampoline, or a wheelbarrow — designed by art students from Schneeberg. The Saxon Way of St. James runs through the farm; some get their stamp and continue towards Santiago. Chemnitz is seven kilometers away. In the evening: beer at the kitchen station.1

What VanSite writes

„In the scorching summer of 2018, organic farmers Bochmann had to sell their dairy cattle and have since provided very simple overnight spots for hikers and pilgrims.“
