The site has barbecue huts adjacent to the beer garden, as well as both catering facilities (restaurant / café), all of which are available from Saturday to Sunday --- but please also note the opening hours online! You'll also find woodland and moorland around the site. The Eider Valley Hiking Trail can be explored from the front door 1 km away on foot or by bike - we recommend trying both trails on foot or by bike for more great nature experiences!1

The path follows the Eider river from Bordesholm to Kiel, part along the water, part through field and moor. A half-day trip on foot or by bike, one and a half kilometres from the pitch.
Kiel Fjord
The sea inlet off Kiel, eleven kilometres away. Ferries, sailboats and a day at the beach when the goings-on at the farm run dry.
Molfsee Open-Air Museum
Old farmhouses and workshops from across Schleswig-Holstein on a wide open site, seven kilometres away. An afternoon among thatched roofs, good with children too.
Kiel
The state capital on the fjord, around fourteen kilometres off. Harbour, the Hörn and the Kiel Week regatta in summer, when quiet is not quite enough.
