Heidjer rest in the Lüneburg Heath
A remote farm just outside Schneverdingen, right in the middle of the Lüneburger Heide. From the pitch, your view stretches over forest and meadow – there's nothing else to get in the way here. It's four kilometers to the town center. If you get on your bike, you can reach Niederhaverbeck, the Höpen and Wilseder Berg, plus Camp Reinsehlen with the Höhenweg Arena climbing park. The site is simple, but it stays quiet in the evenings. In the morning, mist hangs over the fields before the sun breaks through.1

Sights in the area1
Wilseder Berg
At 169 metres the highest point of the northern heath, reachable by bike from the farm. In August you stand right in the blooming heather.
Pietzmoor
The region's largest bog near Schneverdingen, crossed by a boardwalk. A quiet half-day walk when the cotton grass turns white.
Totengrund
A deep heath hollow with juniper and old pines, the classic heath postcard view. Best during the bloom, otherwise pleasantly empty.
Hamburg
Around 51 km away, with the Alster lake and the Elbe islands. The escape for a day in the city when the heath grows too quiet.
